Brides in Lancashire wait to hear if they'll get their wedding dresses after Dan Kerr bridal shops go into administration
Dresses have been emptied from the Preston and Blackpool shops after the business entered administration on Tuesday
Brides in Preston and Blackpool are waiting to hear if they'll get their dresses after the Dan Kerr bridal shops went in administration.
The family-run business has been in Preston and Blackpool for more than 100 years.
Brides rushed to the stores as soon as they heard the news only to see dresses being emptied out of the shop and taken away in vans.
One of them was Beth Whiting in Preston - she told us that when she arrived at the shop she saw four brides in floods of tears.
"It was just heartbreaking. The shop was just an empty shell everything had gone so there was no chance of getting it back. I know some people said they were lucky enough to grab it but it was empty by the time I got there."
We've spoken to Robson Kay who are overseeing the business after it went into administration.
They are asking brides to get in touch with them with their name, address and date of wedding.
They are going through the stock dress by dress and brides who have paid for their dresses may be able to pick it up in Manchester in the next few days.
For those who are unable to get their dress, they will have to apply for a refund through Leonard Curtis.
