Chorley had some famous faces in attendance for their FA Trophy game yesterday.

It had been announced earlier in the week that they would be going to the match, with the club stating

"This is a game-changer that has the potential to bring our town into the limelight like never before, generating a buzz and publicity that will shine a bright light on Chorley and the local area."

Selfies and autographs were signed before the match, with Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy also being joined by Westlife's Brian Mcfadden.

Lynch from Boyzone told us how the opportunity came about:

"Some business partners of mine came in to look after the club, I fell in love with the place, I was asked if I was interested in getting involved and that's when I called the lads."

The club said "Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our negotiations. We firmly believe that this partnership with Boyzone has the potential to take Chorley FC to new heights, firmly establishing our town and football club as a force to be reckoned with."

It remains to be seen what the next announcement will be.
