Blackpool building on verge of collapse after huge blaze
More than fifty firefighters were tackling the blaze at its height.
More than 50 firefighters have been tackling a blaze in a former social club in the shadow of Blackpool Tower.
10 fire engines were at the old Comrades Club building on Adelaide Street at the height of the blaze - which started at around 5.30am this morning.
The roof of the building has caved in on itself and there was a thick cloud of smoke across Blackpool town centre earlier today.
Firefighters have been using two aerial platforms and hosing jets of water into the building - they'll be dampening down at the scene throughout the day.
The cause of the fire is unknown and no one was injured.
