Biker airlifted to hospital after fall in Lancashire beauty spot

A man has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a falling from his bike in rural Lancashire.
Police and Mountain Rescue teams were called to Croasdale Quarry in the Forest of Bowland yesterday evening.
The biker was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: "Yesterday evening Ribble Valley Rural Task Force assisted by Immediate Response and Mountain Rescue safely extracted an injured biker off the Fell at Croasdale Quarry.
"The biker sustained serious but not life threatening injuries following a fall from his bike and was later airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital by HM Coastguard."
