Arrest made after car drives into Lancaster nightclub
A Ford Focus reversed at speed into the front gate of Vibe
A 46-year-old man from Morecambe has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and dangerous driving after a car was driven into the front of a nightclub in Lancaster.
A dark-coloured Ford Focus reversed at speed into the front gate of Vibe at around 1:30am on Saturday 22 October, causing significant damage.
The car then drove up Thurnham Street.
Two similiar incidents took place last week - one on Friday 21 October when a number of windows were smashed and another on Wednesday 19 October when a car was driven into the front of the building.
Police think the incidents are linked.
Det Ch Insp Lee Wilson, of Lancashire Police, said:
"Firstly, we'd like to thank all those people who contacted us with information. We have now arrested somebody and he remains in custody.
"We are still appealing for information about the latest incident at Vibe and in particular would ask anybody with dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage showing what happened to get in touch with us."
Anybody with information is asked to call 101, quoting log 96 of 22 October, or at doitonlinelancashire.police.uk
