An army of people from Lancashire are heading to Manchester on Saturday 13th May to take part in 'Born Survivor' - to help raise money for a four-year-old girl from Chorley battling cancer.

Frankie Kane was diagnosed with the disease in her muscle tissue last October and may have to travel to America for life-saving treatment.

92 of her friends..family and members of the community have come together to create 'Frankie's Army' and complete the military obstacle course.

So far - they've raised over seven thousand pounds.

We've been speaking to Frankie's mum Sandra - she says it's been a devastating time for them "your child has cancer" are words that no parents should ever hear."

Sadly, Frankie has also had to have a bladder removed as well.

On the JustGiving page set up for Frankie's Army - a friend has written:

"The cost of cancer to this family is immense not just emotionally but financially with Sandra and Dave both self-employed and having to earn money to keep a roof over their heads, pay their bills, as well as paying for hotel accommodation to be near the hospital all whilst trying to save money to be able to ensure they can go to support Frankie if she needs to travel to America for treatment. Frankie needs her mum, dad and big brother Finlay by her side now more than ever. They are living a nightmare I cannot even imagine and Frankie's pain is agonising for all their family and friends to see."
