A man was punched as he pushed a pram through a park in Bolton.
At around 3pm on Sunday 5th November 2017, a 65-year-old man was assaulted in Egerton Park.
The man was pushing his grandchild in a pram through the park when he was approached by the offender’s grey and white Schnauzer.
The man asked the owner to put the dog on a lead before the offender proceeded to hit him in the face twice.
The man suffered facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
The attacker is described as white, aged in his 40s or 50s, of medium build with dark hair. He was wearing a grey hooded coat with jeans and blue trainers.
Police Constable Frazer Todd, of GMP’s Bolton borough, said: "This was an outrageous assault on a man as he walked through Egerton Park.
"He was simply out for a walk with his grandchild before he found himself being assaulted over a dispute about whether the dog should have been on a lead.
"I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this assault or who was in the area at the time and saw something that could assist our investigation to please contact police."
