Man posts shocking photos after he's accused of faking a disability

Urging people to think before they judge others

A man has taken to social media to show people that a disability can be invisible - after being accused of faking it.

Ste Walker suffers from Crohn’s disease, a long term condition which causes the lining of the digestive system to be inflamed. It currently has no cure and can lead to complications like ulcers, iron deficiency and brittle bones.

But because people can’t see it, he’s faced abuse for using disabled toilets and parking in disabled parking spaces.

He posted pictures on Facebook to show that although he looks and acts normal, when he removes his top people can begin to see how ill he is.

He says among other problems his stomach doesn’t work properly, some medication causes his arteries to clog, his joints are painful because he's had to take steroids for a long time, chronic pain syndrome and anxiety from spending so long in hospitals.

He now wants others to be aware of the issue, urging people to "'stop and think before you speak".
