Actress Jill Halfpenny opens up about ‘guilt’ of working away from home

Former Eastenders actress Jill Halfpenny has opened up about the struggles she faces working away from her son.
Jill, who has an eight-year-old son called Harvey, appeared on the Loose Women panel and admitted she feels guilty when she's away from him.
The 40-year-old said “I struggle, I actually really struggle. I do the job that I love and I want to feel creative and I want to do all those things, but when I’m away from home it hurts. I have that tremendous guilt”.

The actress also admitted she ‘misses’ conversations with her son and has found it more difficult as he gets older.

Jill gave birth to Harvey back in 2008 and shares him with her ex-husband Craig Conway. She is now in a happy relationship with actor Chris Ellis-Stanton.
The actress also spoke about the latest series of drama In The Club in which she appears in alongside popular actor, Will Mellor.
Speaking about series two of the show she revealed her character, Diane, struggles as she waits for her husband to come home from prison after just giving birth to twins.

Jill has enjoyed a lengthy career in the business starting life alongside Ant and Dec on Byker Grove back in 1989.
She then enjoyed a role in Coronation Street before joining the cast of Eastenders in 2000 playing Kate Mitchell. Jill also played high profile roles on the likes of Waterloo Road and Wild At Heart.
In 2004 Jill was crowned the winner of Strictly Come Dancing and recently appeared in hit shows Babylon and Humans.
