Experts are warning that flooding in Lancashire will happen again.

It comes as Members of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee question Senior Environment Agency officials today about the impact of storms Desmond and Eva.

Jim McQuaid is an Atmospheric Scientist and has told Rock FM he's concerned about how frequently floods are occurring:

He's concerned that a 40 million pound package from the government to fix flood defences isn't enough, and we need a more long-term solution.

This comes as the Environment Agency have pledged to continue with the building of a flood defence near Croston which will be completed in April 2016.
