Teenagers impacted by coronavirus receive their GCSE results
The grades have been decided by teacher assessments
Thousands of children across West Yorkshire are opening their GCSE results today.
They've been graded by teacher assessments, rather than exams.
Teachers looked at a range of evidence to decide grades, including mock exams, coursework, essays and classroom tests.
A-level grades were decided the same way, and on Tuesday many people opened their envelope to find better grades than they had expected.
