Woman suffers serious injuries after crash at Leeds pedestrian crossing
Police say the woman's injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening
A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Leeds.
It happened on Armley Road at about 25 to 2 this afternoon at a pedestrian crossing.
West Yorkshire Police tell us the car left the scene before emergency services arrived.
In a statement, officers said: "Police were called to a road traffic collision on Armley Road, Leeds, shortly after 1:35pm today (26/2) after a female was in collision with a car while crossing on a pedestrian crossing.
"The female was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
"The car left the scene before emergency services arrived."
