Police appeal for witnesses following death of woman at Leeds railway station

British Transport Police have launched an investigation

Detectives are investigating the death of a woman outside Leeds railway station.

Officers and paramedics were called outside Leeds train station down Wellington Street around 1:50am this morning (Sunday 8th August) after hearing reports of a casualty.

The woman was sadly pronounced dead at hospital.

DI Gary Pinner said:

"A full and thorough investigation into the incident is now underway. We're appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was in the area around the time before the incident occurred, as well as anyone who has any footage caught on a mobile phone or CCTV camera."
