Man dies in collision near to Leeds
It happened on the M62 near to Lofthouse on Monday night
A man has died in a collision between a van and car near to Leeds.
Police say a Fiat Ductao and a blue HGV collided on the eastbound carriageway just before junction 29 at around 19:00 on Monday.
The driver of the van- a 34-year-old man from Castleford- was confirmed dead at the scene.
Sergeant Mick Kilburn of West Yorkshire Police said: “We are continuing to investigate this very serious incident on the M62 in which a man has sadly lost his life."
The force is now appealing for any witnesses.
