Armed man arrested after "threats to kill" at Bradford police station

A 29 year old man's been detained by West Yorkshire Police after an incident at one of their own police stations.
Armed officers were called to the helpdesk area at Bradford central's Trafalgar House on Nelson Street on Saturday morning (1st April) to reports of a man brandishing a knife and a handgun.
Staff were able to safely leave the area and armed colleagues arrived swiftly.
A man was detained at the scene.
Officers recovered a knife and a gas powered ball bearing gun, which had been fired during the incident.
Nobody's been hurt.
The man arrested remains in custody and we're told it's being treated as an isolated incident with no wider threat to anyone.
Detective Chief Inspector, Andy Farrell of Bradford District Police said, "Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident and our helpdesk staff are receiving welfare support.
"We know members of the public were in the vicinity of the helpdesk at the time and are keen to speak to anyone who may have information.
"Armed officers attended within a very short time frame, which allowed us to quickly and safely resolve the incident.
"We can confirm this was an isolated incident which poses no wider threat to the public."
