Less than 50% of under 30's in Bradford have had their covid jab
They're being reminded to look on the NHS website for information about the vaccine, and not on social media
We're hearing that under 50% of people under the age of 30 in Bradford have had their first vaccine.
It comes as people who've had both jabs won't legally have to take to a covid test if they're pinged by the app to self-isolate from 16th August.
They're being reminded to look on the NHS website for information about the vaccine, and not on social media where misinformation can be spread.
Sarah Muckle, Bradford's director of public health said:
"We know younger people tend to use social media more and often they feel as though if they do get covid, they'll be fine and won't be seriously affected by it. But we do know there's no way of knowing how ill someone can be.
"Misinformation is really dangerous. We have staff out in Bradford and they are picking up this misinformation all the time."
