Leeds 'Library of Things' says every part of Yorkshire should have one
They've been flagged as an important part of the solution as we look to reduce our carbon footprint
A Leeds library encouraging people to borrow things instead of buy them says EVERY part of Yorkshire should have one.
'Buy Nowt' in Headingley is one of the UK's only 'Libraries of Things' - where you can borrow everything from tents and tools to cooking equipment and fancy dress. The idea is that we make better use of the resources we already have to help reduce our carbon footprint.
In Scotland, the government have put aside more than £300,000 for these libraries as part of their climate action plan – and with Yorkshire having a similar population, there are now calls for the same to be done here.
