Greater Manchester Police are hunting for three men after three people were stabbed in Salford on Friday.

Officers were called to a home in Velour Close following reports of a man and woman shouting for help.

On arrival, a woman and two men were found with stab wounds. One of the men has since undergone surgery on what police have said to be a ‘life-changing’ injury.

The incident was described as an “isolated, targeted and unprovoked attack” by Detective Chief Inspector Yanica Weir, who also stated that three men in masks and balaclavas were seen leaving the address on Velour Close.

Forensic assessment of the property, which remains a crime scene, is underway and police are turning to the community to aid investigations.

Greater Manchester Police are looking for anybody who was in the area at the time of the incident – 2:30pm on Friday 18th August – to come forward, alongside anybody with mobile or dashcam footage in or around Velour Close.

Anybody with information which may be of use can contact the police via 101, quoting log number 001978-18082023, or information can be submitted anonymously through Crimestoppers.
