Cyber attack affecting multiple universities across UK hits Wolverhampton campuses
Staff and students have been asked to stay at home today

The University of Wolverhampton has asked students and staff to stay at home today due to a cyber attack that is affecting several universities across the UK.
It tweeted there is "a systems issue across all our campuses".
It follows reports from several other universities, including Cambridge and Manchester, of cyber issues affecting their servers.
A University of Wolverhampton spokesperson said: “Late last night, the university became aware of an IT systems issue that has impacted our key systems and services across all campuses and sites including the University website.
“All our campuses remain open for students but, given this disruption, we have asked all non-essential staff to work from home today, as on campus teaching will be rearranged.
“Staff are working hard to minimise disruption and get systems back up and running.
“We are keeping staff, students and key partners updated on the situation.”
The University of Manchester tweeted: "IT services were made aware of network connectivity problems impacting several universities, including our own."
This morning, it posted an update to say: "We continue to work closely with our partners, including JISC, to continue to resolve any outstanding issues as quickly as possible and are continuing to monitor the situation today."
