ZZ Top announce 50th anniversary show
ZZ Top will play a 50th anniversary show at London’s The SSE Arena, Wembley next summer.
Taking place on Friday 12th July 2019, the 12,500 capacity UK show is one of three European dates announced today – they also play Prague Rocks on 19th June and Barcelona Rock Fest on 5th July.
With more European dates in the pipeline, Billy F Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard will perform in concert in a dozen countries over the course of four weeks.
Tickets to the London date go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 10am on Friday 16th November. The very special guest in London will be Jimmy Barnes.
Billy F. Gibbons comments: “It’s been 50 years, and I think we’re starting to get pretty good! We’re just as excited to play Barcelona this summer as we were to play Beaumont (TX) back in ’69. The beard are, perhaps, a bit longer, but nothing much else has changed and we hope to keep it that way.”
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will be performing classic hits at the shows from their extensive, half-Century back catalogue.
