Zappa's Roxy Shows To Get DVD Release?
The legendary performances are looking likely to get a 2013 release
Frank Zappa played three famous shows at the Roxy Theatre on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood on 8-10 December 1973. These shows were immortalised, at least in part, on the Roxy & Elsewhere live album, which is regarded as one of the definitive Zappa live recordings.
Now, reports Gibson, the shows will be released on DVD and Blu Ray in 2013 to mark the 40th anniversary of the shows.
The Zappa Family Trust have revealed that they've identified all of the audio and video recordings of this famous run of shows and they are to release it next year along with a new live album, which they have described as "75 minutes and 49 seconds of Roxy without the Elsewhere."
