Yngwie May Be Hitting All The Right Notes
Sweden may see the shredder adorn their currency
Gibson.com has picked up on the awesome story that the Swedish government is reportedly replacing many of its coins with paper currency. And when they make the change, there is a movement at Sweden’s central bank (the Riksbank) to honor more modern figures on the new bills, including Bach-n-roller #1, Yngwie Malmsteen.
The metal speedburner heads a list of modern figures in Swedish society under consideration for the honor. Others include hockey star Peter Forsberg, Pippi Longstocking author Astrid Lindgren and award inspiration/dynamite inventor Alfred Nobel.
