Wyatt starts his epic 185-mile charity walk to Planet Rockstock
Raising money for Cash for Kids
Last updated 25th Nov 2024
After previously raising thousands for charity with his herculean bike rides, Wyatt has embarked on a new endurance challenge – an epic 185-mile walk to Planet Rockstock.
Earlier this morning (25th November), Wyatt set off on foot from Planet Rock HQ in central London, and he’ll walk all the way to Trecco Bay in South Wales in four-and-a-half days.
Wyatt will be clocking up over 40 miles each day on the mammoth trek and he’s aiming to arrive on the hallowed tarmac of Trecco Bay on Friday 29th November to coincide with the official start of Planet Rockstock.
Not just a glutton for punishment, Wyatt is embarking on the walk to raise money for Planet Rock’s charity Cash for Kids.
Cash for Kids aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK - money raised during Wyatt’s Walk to Planet Rockstock will be used to help young people who are struggling with their mental health.
Listeners will be able to follow Wyatt’s challenge on-air and on Planet Rock’s socials throughout the epic walk, and, if you can, please sponsor Wyatt!

Wyatt said: “It’s been a few years since I last did a charity venture which involved Planet Rockstock. I think it’s time to do another one.
“I did say I wouldn’t do a cycling one again, and I’m true to my word. This time I’m going to set off from London and I’m going to walk 185 miles in just under five days from London to Rockstock across five stages all to raise money for our charity Cash for Kids.
“All the funds raised with your help will be going to help local causes and helping kids with mental health issues and challenges. It is going to be epic.”
He continued: “You can pop by. You can stand around and watch me walk by. It will be a lot more sedate that when I did the cycling ones. You might want to walk with me for a bit, you can do that as well.
“When it’s happening in real time you’ll be able to see exactly where I am with the live real time tracking app. And if you want to help, you want to support, if you want to donate, you can do that right now at planetrock.com/wyatt”
