Wolfmother Pull Festival Dates

PLUS Download confirms another 14 bands

Wolfmother have pulled out of playing Download, Hard Rock Calling and T In The Park due to a "band illness.”

The Aussie hard rockers had been scheduled to appear on the main stage of the Download Festival on the day headlined by fellow antipodeans AC/DC, while they were due to play on the day headlined by Pearl Jam at the Hyde Park gig.

Killswitch Engage have been named as replacements on the Download stage and The Hives will replace them on the Hard Rock Calling bill.

No word on which member of the band is ill, or any details on the illness.

Meanwhile, Download Festival have confirmed a host of new bands.

Taylor Hawkins brings his Coattail Riders to Donington to showcase the band’s new album ‘Red Light Fever, My Passion make their Download debut while  progressive metallers Devil Sold His Soul, Anathema, death metallers Trigger The Bloodshed, Enemo-J, The More I See, Sondura, Everything Burns, melodic rockers Starseed, The Dirty Feel, new Thin Lizzy vocalist and ex-Almighty frontman Ricky Warwick and 80s influenced rockers Jett Black also join the line-up.

In addition to playing with Michael Monroe, The Wildhearts’ Ginger will also be playing a solo set, as will Tyketto’s Danny Vaughn plus there will be an exclusive DJ stand off set from Classic Rock editor Scott Rowley and Metal Hammer editor Alexander Milas.

There will also be a public screening of Rush documentary Beyond The Lighted Stage during the festival.
