White Stripes To Release New Live Album

Final ever live show to be released

Published 11th Apr 2011

The final show for The White Stripes took place on 31 July 2007 and Undercover News reports that as an homage to the town they performing on the night, the setlist was weighted to include some covers from the legendary Mississippi Delta bluesman Robert Johnson as well as a smattering from the six White Stripes studio albums.

The brand new live album, to be called 'Live In Mississippi', will be released on CD and 2LPs and it features the whole set from that night.

The White Stripes will also release a brand new live DVD which was recorded in2000. 'Under Moorhead Lights At Fargo Night' was recorded following the release of their second album De Stijl with almost no one in the audience. It includes a cover of Iggy Pop's 'I'm Bored'.

Both the CD and the DVD will be released through Third Man Records in the next month or so.
