WATCH: The Answer premiere ultra-eerie ‘Solas’ video
Northern Ireland’s prodigal sons The Answer have unveiled the powerful video to their current single ‘Solas’.
In keeping with the song’s potent lyrics, the video follows a young woman who we first see lying on a candlelit table during some form of ritualistic ceremony where a pagan crown is placed upon her head and objects are placed in her hands.
When she awakes in daylight, the petrified woman is confronted by a series of eerie occult trinkets and symbols - including an obligatory animal skull - and she soon realises she’s being followed by a shadowy figure.
As the song reaches its epic climax, she meets her strange feathered stalker head on in front of a blazing ceremonial fire. Eerie stuff.
Currently picking up heavy rotation on Planet Rock, ‘Solas’ is the opening track of The Answer’s sixth studio album of the same name, which lands via Napalm Records on Friday 28th October.
The Answer are also hitting the road next month on a fervently awaited co-headline tour with The Dead Daisies.
