WATCH: Tax The Heat premiere ‘Change Your Position' video
Tax The Heat have premiered the video for their ‘Change Your Position’ album title track.
The Bristol quartet’s thematically weighty new song sees them comment on the turbulent state of the world right now.
Singer Alex Veale explains: “It’s looking at division in society and people using it as an excuse to do wrong and say wrong. It’s saying, ‘Look, change your position.' It’s holding up a mirror to things.”
The accompanying (more light-hearted) video sees five newsreaders from around the globe – including Alex himself – orate the lyrics to the song.
Boasting the single ‘All That Medicine’, which is currently enjoying heavy rotation on Planet Rock, ‘Change Your Position’ the album is released on Friday 9th March 2018 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.
The album will be available as CD, Digital, Limited Edition Gatefold Vinyl and Limited-Edition Light Blue Vinyl. Fans who pre-orders it digitally from iTunes will receive 'Change Your Position', 'Money In The Bank' and 'All That Medicine' as instant grat downloads.
"If an album is about capturing a band or artist at a certain point, 'Change Your Position' might have happened at the perfect time,” says Alex.
“As a band we toured, found our sound, found our place and took inspiration from a world in utter chaos. With 'Change Your Position' we pushed ourselves creatively as hard as we could and it took us further into ourselves than we expected - we hope it's apparent to the listener."
