WATCH: Royal Blood tease new album in 2017
Brighton duo Royal Blood have teased a big announcement for next year.
Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher uploaded a 21-second video to their social channels yesterday, which follows a man getting a new ink in a tattoo parlour.
Set against a musical backdrop of string instruments warming up and trademark Royal Blood riffs, the tattoo is finally revealed as a diamond icon with ‘2017’ inked beneath it.
Although there is no mention of a record on Royal Blood’s post, a press release promoting the clip is headlined ‘Royal Blood post album teaser’ – meaning a new full-length is imminent.
The new album will land three years after the duo’s chart-conquering, self-titled debut that spawned the monster anthems ‘Out of the Black’, ‘Little Monster’, ‘Come On Over’ and ‘Figure It Out.’
Quizzed about when their new album will land earlier this year, Mike Kerr said they were taking their time and won’t be releasing anything until the music “sounds amazing.”
