The follow-up to November 2016’s ‘Memories In Rock - Live In Germany’, the aptly titled ‘Memories In Rock II’ was recorded at Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow’s trio of June 2017 UK shows in London, Glasgow and Birmingham.

According to a post on Candice’s YouTube channel, together with a double CD of the UK concerts, the package will include backstage footage of the band and crew together with a brand new Rainbow studio song.

Candice also shared a nine-minute video previewing ‘Memories In Rock II’ featuring interviews with Ritchie, bassist Bob Nouveau, drummer David Keith, vocalist Ronnie Romero, tour manager Andreas Bock and herself.

An exact release date is yet to be confirmed but Candice states the package will be coming in 2018. Watch the preview here:

Last May, Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow unveiled their first new song in 22 years - ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ - an instrumental reworking of the 1902 British patriotic song of the same name from Edward Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1.

On the same day, Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow also released their reworking of the Russ Ballard penned 1981 Rainbow classic ‘I Surrender’ with new vocals recorded by current singer Ronnie Romero.

Somewhat intriguingly, and, perhaps reflective of the musical direction of the two songs, both tracks also appeared on the ‘Blackmore’s Night’ best of compilation album ‘To The Moon and Back’ last August.

Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow were also due to perform at Manchester Arena on their June 2017 tour but it was cancelled following the May attack at the venue.
