WATCH: Metallica sing Disney’s The Little Mermaid in new Carpool Karaoke clip
Metallica have shared a new trailer for their upcoming Carpool Karaoke episode.
Streaming from next Tuesday (15th August), the metal monoliths appear on Apple Music’s weekly show Carpool Karaoke: The Series - a spin-off from the James Corden Late Late Show sketch - alongside US comedian Billy Eichner.
A teaser trailer back in February showed the band gleefully belting out Rihanna’s 2012 song ‘Diamonds’ alongside Eichner together with footage of them invading a supermarket to sing ‘Enter Sandman’ alongside families doing their weekly shop.
The newly premiered trailer shows extended footage of their antics in the supermarket along with Eichner goading them on to sing ‘Part of Your World’ from the 1989 Disney animated film The Little Mermaid.
With Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo looking somewhat bemused and questioning the song choice, James Hetfield enthusiastically joins in with the “I've got whozits and whatzits galore” line.

In other Carpool Karaoke news, executive producer James Corden has said it’s up to the late Chester Bennington’s family to decide whether his episode airs.
Alongside The Hangover actor Ken Jeong, Chester and his Linkin Park bandmates Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn filmed an episode of Carpool Karaoke just a week before Chester’s death.
“We will approach it in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled,” Corden told the Associated Press.
“We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want because I don’t think there’s any other way we could deal with it. It’s a tragedy.”
