The light-hearted video was filmed in the Barrel Room of Thornbridge Brewery in Derbyshire and sees Planet Rock’s very own Wyatt Wendels host an open mic night.

After an acoustic act called Midnight Moonshine go down like a lead balloon, Wyatt introduces Laurence Jones Band onstage who swiftly storm the stage with their searing sounds. The video ends with an awestruck Wyatt looking on in wonder.

Simon Webster CEO of Thornbridge Brewery said of the video: “We were delighted when we were approached with the idea of having the music video for Laurence Jones Band shot on site in our barrel room.

“We’ve always been really keen to support the arts here at Thornbridge, from having gigs on at our pubs to commissioning local artists to produce our merchandise and hosting our own beer, food and music festival every year in August. The video and it looks fantastic!”

Commenting on the song, Laurence Jones said: “This song’s a nuclear explosion of feeling and emotion, letting go and saying I’m ready, I’m waiting for whatever’s coming my way. Have you ever heard that phrase that good things come to those who wait? ‘I’m Waiting’ is about being patient but also being ready.”

‘I’m Waiting’ is lifted from Laurence Jones Band’s self-titled new studio album, which is released on Friday 27th September 2019.

The album features 11 all new Laurence Jones Band compositions together with a cover of Lennon-McCartney penned Beatles classic ‘Day Tripper’.

Bracketing their appearance at Planet Rockstock, Laurence Jones Band head out on a 13-date UK tour in late November and early December. Tickets are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.
