Watch: Kris Barras Band premiere 'What You Get' video
Kris Barras Band have premiered the guest-packed video to their new single ‘What You Get’.
Another masterful blues rock stomper from Barras and co., ‘What You Get’ is the latest offshoot from Kris Barras Band's new album ‘Light It Up’, which lands on Friday 13th September via Provogue/Mascot Label Group.
“I’d say that this is probably the most typical KBB song on the album,” says Barras. “It summarises the sound that I have become known for; foot-stomping, twangy riffs and a big, catchy chorus.
“We’ve been playing this song live for the past six months and it always goes down really well. People were hearing it for the first time and they’re all singing along by the time it reaches the last chorus. That’s when we knew it had to be a single.”
The accompanying ‘What You Get’ video melds footage of Kris Barras Band tearing through the track under a motorway interchange with clips of Kris Barras Band’s mates singing along including Walter Trout, Eric Gales, Kenny Aronoff, Joe Louis Walker and Johnny Lang.
Planet Rock’s very own Paul Anthony also makes a guest appearance in ‘What You Get’, and he follows in the footsteps of Wyatt who recently featured in the video for Laurence Jones Band’s ‘I’m Waiting’.
It just leaves Darren Redick to get in on the music video cameo act...

Kris Barras Band follow the release of ‘Light It Up’ with a previously announced 13-date UK tour that also includes their two slots at Planet Rock’s Rocktober. They also rock the completely sold out Planet Rockstock on Saturday 7th December.
"We've had a crazy year,” enthuses Kris Barras. “We went from playing to 75 people a show in early 2018, up to selling out 500 cap venues just 12 months later.
“This October will see us head out on our biggest UK tour to date and will coincide with the release of the brand new album. Every tour that we do, we try to raise the bar and improve as a band.... I can guarantee that this one will be another step up."
