Introducing footage of the... erm… memorable performance on YouTube, The Late Late Show wrote: ‘Let's face it: the older we get, the more difficult it becomes to rock and roll all night on top of partying every day.

‘In this special performance of "Rock and Roll All Nite" James Corden tries to introduce new lyrics for the KISS classic, but the band isn't having any of it.’

The rendition of the 1975 track sees Corden don KISS-esque make-up and outfit as he delivers lines about aging, including: “More than two drinks is a big mistake / Can’t fall asleep and get the worst headache / I got work tomorrow / Let’s not get crazy.”

Other lyrics include: “I wanna watch Ken Burns all night / And play golf every day” and “I gotta pee six times a night / ‘cause of my enlarged prostrate.”

KISS appeared on the show to promote their swansong End of the Road World Tour, which kicks off in 2019 and includes five UK arena shows in July. Tickets are available from Planet Rock Tickets now.

The band said of their upcoming goodbye trek: "All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who've filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years.

“This will be the ultimate celebration for those who've seen us and a last chance for those who haven't. KISS Army, we're saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we'll go out the same way we came in... Unapologetic and Unstoppable."

The multi-year End of the Road World Tour will spell the end for the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers who have shifted over 100million albums in their glittering 45-year career to date.
