Watch Judas Priest perform 'Delivering The Goods' for the first time in 38 years
Judas Priest have performed yet another rarity on their Firepower Tour.
The heavy metal titans performed ‘Killing Machine’ opener ‘Delivering The Goods’ for the first time since 1980 at the Centre Bell in Montreal, Canada on Wednesday night (29th August).
You can watch fan-filmed footage of the blistering performance right here:
The Firepower Tour has already seen Judas Priest roll out a number of other rarities including the live debut of 1978 track ‘Saints In Hell’ in Pennsylvania back in March.
Elsewhere, 1976 anthem ‘Tyrant’ had its first outing in more than 35 years in Texas in May, while ‘Some Heads Are Gonna Roll’ has become a setlist regular for the first time since 1991.
The gig in Montreal also saw Glenn Tipton join his bandmates for the four-song encore of ‘Metal Gods’, ‘No Surrender’, ‘Breaking The Law’ and ‘Living After Midnight’.
Glenn has made a number of guest appearances on the Firepower Tour since announcing his retirement from touring due to his battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Last week, bassist Ian Hill dismissed the idea that ‘Firepower’ will be Judas Priest’s last studio album if Glenn’s condition doesn’t improve.
“We're not planning on that,” he said. “There's no reason why there shouldn't be anything. Glenn can play for short periods of time — even on a bad day, he can do that. It's just that he can't handle a full set at the moment.
“That may change — there may be procedures coming along that will help him along — but there's no reason why he shouldn't be able to write new songs. And he's capable of playing for short periods of time on the album as well. So, we're not planning on 'Firepower' being the last album."
He continued: "I think the 'Firepower' tour is now booked through until next summer. So we'll take some time off and stand back and then see where we're gonna go from there — whether we're gonna carry on with 'Firepower' or whether we're gonna do something else."
Judas Priest kicked off their 25-date co-headline North American tour with Deep Purple on Tuesday 21st August. The band headlined Bloodstock at the start of August.
