WATCH: Foreigner mark 40th anniversary with ‘The Flame Still Burns’ video

Foreigner have released a brand new video to celebrate their 40th anniversary as a band.

Published 25th Nov 2016

The track ‘The Flame Still Burns’ was originally co-penned by Mick Jones for the 1998 comedy film Still Crazy and was performed by the fictional band Strange Fruit starring Bill Nighy, Billy Connolly, Jimmy Nail, Stephen Rea and Timothy Spall.

Now, Foreigner themselves have released a highly nostalgic video for their own version of the track that sees that band look back on their past.

‘The Flame Still Burns’ also features on a 10-inch vinyl EP of the same name, which has been released Stateside today (25th November) via Rhino Records as a limited edition Black Friday special.

The EP also boasts a live version of their classic Juke Box Hero plus the original 1977 recordings of ‘Feels Like The First Time’ and ‘Long, Long Way From Home.’

Foreigner last graced the UK back in June for a Greatest Hits show at London Palladium.

They’re heading out on a North American tour in early 2017 before coming to Europe for shows in Switzerland and Spain in the summer.
