WATCH: Bernie Marsden on new album plans and ‘special’ Abbey Road project
Bernie Marsden has hinted at a “special” new project he’s been working on at London’s world-famous Abbey Road Studios.
Earlier this week, Inglorious singer Nathan James took to Instagram to tease a clandestine recording project involving Bernie.
Posting a pic of the ex-Whitesnake star, Nathan wrote: “Spent the last 2 days with this guy... working on an absolutely incredible project. I feel so honoured and humbled to be involved. details coming soon.”

Speaking to Planet Rock’s Paul Anthony moments after stepping off stage at Planet Rockstock, Bernie said: “There are a lot of things going on and we were doing some stuff this week at Abbey Road, which was pretty special.
“That was good, I can’t say too much about that but it was good, you’ll find out about it soon!”
Elsewhere, Bernie confirmed there is plenty of new material recorded for a potential new album: “Yeah I’ve got a lot of stuff in the can but ‘Shine’ was about 17 years (after) the one before that so we’re still well ahead. There will be one next year.”
Bernie also reflected upon the football-esque chants of “Bernie! Bernie!” that echoed around the room during his performance: “I find it very moving to be honest with you, I never know quite what to say apart from ‘thank you very much’, which is a bit wet really but they don’t care they just laugh so that’s fine!”
