Watch: Bagpipe Dubstep cover of AC/DC's Thunderstruck
Yes, you read that correctly.
Founded in February 2005, YouTube quickly became the internet's new haven for the weird and wonderful. It wasn't long before the music industry embraced it too, with both established and emerging artists taking full advantage of the ability to share their videos with the world. A good thing, for the most part.
Then the covers started. The endless covers. Some of the greatest songs of all time, covered. And covered again. Oh look over there, a cover of a cover!
So how does one make their cover of AC/DC's crucial 1990 hit "Thunderstruck" cut through the noise? Enlist a choir of cats and pugs? Record it outside during an actual thunderstorm? Release a breathy, twee acoustic version and hope it gets picked up by a department store for their Christmas TV ad?
No. Apparently, the answer is simple. Upload a bagpipe dubstep version of course!
That's exactly what YouTube user TheSnakeCharmer has done with "Dubstruck", and it is most definitely unique.
