WATCH: Alice Cooper reunites with original band members for special performance

Alice Cooper joined forces with three members of his original band for a very special performance in Nashville on Sunday night (14th May).

The shock rock legend and Planet Rock DJ extraordinaire played a five-song set at Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall while flanked by bassist Dennis Dunaway, drummer Neal Smith and guitarist Michael Bruce.

After his obligatory beheading by a guillotine, Alice, wearing a fetching gold snakeskin jacket, and co. tore through a mini-set that featured ‘I’m Eighteen’, ‘Billion Dollar Babies’, ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy’ and ‘Muscle of Love.’

The encore of ‘Schools Out’ saw the vintage line-up unite with Alice’s current band consisting of guitarists Ryan Roxie and Tommy Henriksen, plus bassist Chuck Garric and drummer Glen Sobel for an emphatic finale. Watch fan-filmed footage here:

Alice previously played a live set with the trio at a record store in Dallas in October 2015 to mark the release of Dennis’s autobiography ‘Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs!: My Adventures in the Alice Cooper Group.’

The three original band members all appear on Alice’s upcoming 27th studio album ‘Paranormal’ that also features collaborations with ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, U2’s Larry Mullen Jr. and Deep Purple’s Roger Glover.

The follow-up to 2011's 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' will be released on Friday 28th July on earMUSIC on 2CD Digipak, 2LP, Limited Box Set and Digital formats.

Boasting 12 tracks, the album was recorded in Nashville with long-time collaborator Bob Ezrin and features a very special bonus CD – a mini-album consisting of three brand new songs written and recorded together with Dennis, Neal and Michael alongside carefully selected live recordings.

Alice will follow its release with a five-date arena tour this coming November with The Mission and The Tubes in support. Tickets to all shows are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.
