Watch AC/DC perform 'Whole Lotta Rosie' in 1979
AC/DC have uploaded a rare archive performance of their seminal classic ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’ to YouTube.
Available to watch below, the vintage clip was filmed for Dutch TV show Countdown in the summer of 1979 and captures AC/DC in their scintillating live glory.
Despite the fact that ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’ features on 1977’s ‘Let There Be Rock’, the clip has been shared as part of Highway To Hell’s 40th anniversary celebrations.
AC/DC uploaded YouTube videos for ‘Highway To Hell’ and ‘The Jack’ from the same TV show last month.
The rare footage of all three AC/DC classics previously appeared on the gargantuan DVD box set ‘Plug Me In’ back in October 2007, but they’ve previously not been available online.
AC/DC reactivated their social media accounts on Tuesday 16th July for the first time in almost two years to celebrate Highway To Hell’s 40th anniversary - their final studio album with the late-great Bon Scott.
Alongside the live videos, AC/DC have released their full catalogue on the YouTube Music app and launched ‘Highway To Hell’ 40th anniversary merchandise.
Fans, of course, are hoping that the recent flurry of AC/DC activity online precedes a return from the legendary band.
There has been intense speculation over the past year that AC/DC are releasing a new album in Malcolm Young’s memory with Phil Rudd and Brian Johnson back in the band.
Brian himself seemingly confirmed his return when grindcore band Terrorizer wrote on Facebook that Brian had told them he was back with AC/DC.
Three weeks ago, Kansas radio station V-100 reported that AC/DC will announce a new world tour on Wednesday 17th July – dates that unsurprisingly never came into fruition.
