Video editor Joe Vevers tweaked footage of the small mammal squeaking at another pika while perched on a rock and overdubbed it with Freddie Mercury’s famous ‘Ay-Oh’ call-and-response interaction at Wembley Stadium in July 1985.

Certain to bring a smile to even the staunchest cynic’s chops, the 45-second clip has been viewed 1.2million times on YouTube and many more on social media.

In case you’re wondering, a pika is a small mammal with short limbs, rounded ears and no external tail, and is closely related to a rabbit. They live on rocky slopes in mountainous areas of North America and Asia.
