Watch a pika channel Queen's Freddie Mercury at Live Aid
A pika ‘channelling’ Queen frontman Freddie Mercury’s legendary Live Aid performance has become an internet sensation.
Video editor Joe Vevers tweaked footage of the small mammal squeaking at another pika while perched on a rock and overdubbed it with Freddie Mercury’s famous ‘Ay-Oh’ call-and-response interaction at Wembley Stadium in July 1985.
Certain to bring a smile to even the staunchest cynic’s chops, the 45-second clip has been viewed 1.2million times on YouTube and many more on social media.

In case you’re wondering, a pika is a small mammal with short limbs, rounded ears and no external tail, and is closely related to a rabbit. They live on rocky slopes in mountainous areas of North America and Asia.
