The Bournemouth five-piece, who wowed at Planet Rock’s inaugural Winter’s End festival back in February, will play in front of an estimated crowd of 100,000 people at the Chinese festival in Dujiangyan City on Tuesday 3rd October.

After the festival first reached out to the band four months ago, Voodoo Vegas had to send all of their music together with every lyric they’ve ever penned to the Chinese Cultural Secretary in order to prove their music has no overt political leanings.

Now they’ve finally been given the green light, the band can’t wait to embark on the lengthy journey to the festival.

“This is a huge deal for all of us,” says singer Lawrence Case. “We can’t believe we are playing the show; we feel like we’ve won the lottery!”

Voodoo Vegas’ appearance at The Western China Music Festival will be sandwiched by a string of headline dates in the UK and Europe, including four shows in the Netherlands supporting Y&T in late October. Head to the band’s official website for more details.

In other Voodoo Vegas news, the band have just unleashed the video to their brand spanking new tune ‘Resolution’. Cast your corneas on it below.

Voodoo Vegas are: Lawrence Case - vocals/harmonica; Meryl Hamilton – guitar; Ash Moulton – bass; Mike Rigler – drums; and Jon Dawson – guitar.
