Filmed during a birthday meal at a diner in Oregon, the two-minute clip opens with the boy unwrapping a (reasonably underwhelming) present of a letter board.

When his mum suggests opening it to see if there’s a message on the letter board, he discovers the words ‘Iron Maiden - Sept 6 2019’ emblazoned across it.

Quickly realising it’s tickets for Iron Maiden’s Legacy of the Beast World Tour date at the Moda Center in Portland on Friday 6th September, the boy is overcome with emotion and cries tears of happiness on his dad’s shoulder.

Parenting done right.

Watch the heart-warming clip, which will bring a smile to even the staunchest cynic’s chops, right here:

Iron Maiden kick off the US & Canada leg of The Legacy of the Beast Tour at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida on Friday 18th July and wrap up at San Antonio AT&T Center in late September.

They then tour Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Chile in September and October, culminating with a massive sold-out show at Estadio Nacional in Santiago where their 2012 ‘En Vivo!’ album and concert film was filmed in 2011.

Following the tour, Bruce Dickinson will head out on a ‘What Does This Button Do? An Evening With Bruce Dickinson’ spoken word tour across Europe.

The tour opens in Zagreb, Croatia on Saturday 26th October and culminates at the 2,000 capacity National Stadium in Dublin on Friday 13th December. There are no UK dates at present.
