Velvet Revolver Recorded A Whole Album With Slipknot Man
But we\'ll probably never hear it
Drummer Matt Sorum has revealed that when VR were auditioning and trying out various frontmen they managed to record a full album's worth of new material with Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor.
However, it seems that we'll not be seeing it anytime soon.
"We had 10 songs. We could put the album out tomorrow. It's done. I said, 'Let’s go.' But Slash wasn’t feeling it. If we're not all feeling it together, we can't do it."
Velvet Revolver have been looking for a new frontman for more than three years following the departure of Scott Weiland. The band is unlikely to reconvene until late next year at the earliest as Sorum, Slash and Duff McKagan have their own projects to work on.
