Velvet Revolver Find A Frontman

Matt Sorum says that the band have almost certainly got their man

Velvet Revolver appear to have finally found a new lead singer.

Blabbermouth reports that in an interview last week drummer Matt Sorum let slip that the band had found someone, but he wasn’t naming names.

"We're real close to finding the right person. We got a guy that we like but we haven't sat around a table and said to each other, 'Okay, let’s shake hands and do this.'

"Hopefully we'll be able to... I mean, I know this has been going on for a while but the reality of it is  Slash has been on the road promoting his solo album for the last year. We only started rehearsing last week after a year off and we're going to rehearse again in January with this particular person."

Two candidates known to have auditioned are Scars On Broadway singer Frankie Perez and Spacehog frontman Royston Langdon. Speculation continues that Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy is also in the running.

Sorum also confirmed that the man he is talking about is a "known guy" and that he is "younger and stronger".
