Fresh from releasing their acclaimed sixth studio album ‘Grit Your Teeth’ earlier this year, melodic rockers Vega have announced two changes to their band line-up.

First up, former Inglorious axeman and current DeeVer frontman Billy Taylor has joined Vega on guitars.

Commenting on his recruitment to the band, Billy Taylor says: “I’ve known the Vega guys for a while now and the timing seemed right on this one! The new album has a much harder edge to it which I’ve enjoyed jamming and I’m excited to see where we can take this together.”

Additionally, esteemed drummer, vocalist and studio wizard Pete Newdeck (Tainted Nation, Eden's Curse, Blood Red Saints, Midnite City, Paul Di'Anno's Killers) will play drums for the foreseeable future.

Pete Newdeck comments: “I love the new album and also have a long-standing friendship with all the guys in Vega. It was fantastic to be asked to step in. I love music, life and music life. The perfect combination.”.

Billy Taylor and Pete Newdeck will join Vega on the road in 2021 for all their scheduled upcoming shows. They replace departing drummer Martin "Hutch" Hutchison and guitarist MyKey Kew.

Enthusing about his two new band mates, Vega singer Nick Workman says of their inaugural studio session in York: “We just played all the new songs and the vibe between the 6 of us was amazing....and I also don’t think I have laughed as much in a long time.”

Vega played on the main stage at Planet Rockstock 2019, opening an evening bill that also featured Aaron Buchanan, Kris Barras Band, Last in Line and The Temperance Movement.

Vega’s planned May 2020 shows with H.E.A.T will now take place in October 2021.
