Van Halen Won't Appear At Grammy Noms?
Confusion over whether the band will play at the awards launch in two weeks
Rolling Stone Magazine says that the band HAVE signed with Interscope ahead of the release of their new album and a few more details about why they didn't sign with Columbia have apparently emerged.
According to The Hollywood Reporter (via Rolling Stone) the band did not sign with Columbia Records after Dave Lee Roth decided that he didn't want to sign with a label based on the East Coast.
"He was never on board with Columbia," the Hollywood Reporter's source said. "It was as complicated as anyone would imagine, when one side says black, the other says white. The label was pretty skeptical that things would work out."
Meanwhile a source has told Rolling Stone that, despite a fairly unsubtle Tweet from the Grammy organisers ("Who do you predict the reuniting band will be @GRAMMYnoms?. Does this hint make you wanna 'Jump' & 'Dance The Night Away?") Van Halen will apparently NOT be performing at the nominations show on 30 November.
