Van Halen Play Comeback Show

They debut new song in New York

Published 6th Jan 2012

Van Halen played an 11 song set at the tiny Cafe Wha in New York last night which included "brand new" song 'She's The Woman'.

The song is expected to appear on the band's brand new album, A Different Kind of Truth (that name has now been confirmed, and it's out in the US on 7 February), and it is thought to be a song that was originally demoed in the 70s but never recorded.

The set from the night was this:

  1. You Really Got Me
  1. Runnin’ With The Devil
  1. Somebody Get Me A Doctor
  1. Everybody Wants Some
  1. She’s The Woman
  1. Dance The Night Away
  1. Panama
  1. Hot For Teacher
  1. Ice Cream Man
  1. Ain’t Talkin Bout Love
  1. Jump
  1. Beautiful Girls *
  1. Unchained *
  • According to Van Halen News Desk, who were at the gig, they didn't play the last two songs that were on the written set list.

The band's first single, 'Tattoo', will be released on Tuesday in the US (Amazon.com has the song available for pre-order).
