Van Halen ARE In The Studio
Despite denials it seems that the band will release new album next year
Despite recent denials it seems that Van Halen ARE in the studio and that we can expect a new album next year.
Last month reports emerged that the band were back in the studio recording their first new album since 1998 and their first with Dave Lee Roth since 1984. These reports were then quickly denied by the band.
BUT now a statement has been released by the band’s record label that says that they ARE in the studio.
The news comes as Warner/Chappell Music extended their publishing deal with Eddie and Alex Van Halen, and a statement was issued that ended with:
"Most recently, the band toured with founding brothers, Eddie and Alex Van Halen, its original lead singer, David Lee Roth, and Eddie's son, Wolfgang, playing bass. The group is currently in the studio recording an album with Roth that is due for release in 2011.”
