Alter Bridge guitarist says he\'s heard new Van Halen album
It's been a long time coming but it seems there is finally some firm evidence of the long-awaited new Van Halen album.
Alter Bridge and Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti says he has seen the band play their latest material.
Mark is friend with Eddie Van Halen’s son, who also happens to be Van Halen’s current bassist, Wolfgang Van Halen.
"I was in Los Angeles", says Tremonti. "and Wolfgang invited me to his Dad’s house and I got to go to 5150 Studios and watch Eddie and Alex and Wolfgang play their new record from front to back. So I was one of the only people who have heard the new Van Halen. It was incredible".
Despite this latest update, there's still no release date for the new material. Van Halen will headline the Soundwave Revolution festival in Australia in the Autumn.
