Fancy going for a curry with Uriah Heep's Mick Box?

The Heavy Metal Truants have announced details of their fifth Heavy Metal Curry night – this time with Uriah Heep founder, guitarist and sole constant member Mick Box.

Following previous curry nights with Saxon’s Biff Byford, Black Star Riders’ Scott Gorham, Thunder’s Luke Morley and Danny Bowes, and Devin Townsend, Heavy Metal Curry V: Jalfrezi Livin with Mick Box takes at The Chapati Club in Acton, London on Wednesday 11th March 2020.

Tickets costing £65.00 are on sale right here and include a three-course meal, a meet and greet with Mick Box and access to a silent auction on the night.

Once again, all proceeds from the charity night go directly to three children’s charities The Heavy Metal Truants support; Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust & Childline.

Announcing Heavy Metal Curry V with Mick Box, The Heavy Metal Truants wrote: “It's dhal happening at The Chapati Club in Acton on Wednesday 11th March from 6.30pm onwards.

“£65 will get you a commemorative signed menu and a heep of food so good you'll have Paneers in your Eyes! Includes meet and greet with naan other than the founding member of Uriah Heap and lead-gheetarist: Mick Box! There will also be a small auction of money-can't-bhuna items on the night all to benefit great causes.

Founded in 2012, The Heavy Metal Truants is the brainchild of Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood and music journalist Alexander Milas.

Each June, a 50+ strong Heavy Metal Truants collective embark on a charity cycle ride from London’s Alexandra Palace to Download Festival.

They also organise the series of Monster Rock Auctions featuring ‘money-can’t-buy’ items personally donated by rock legends and their representatives.
